Travelling the Lainio river

The Lainio river runs mostly through completely uninhabited areas. There are long stretches of rapids, but no big waterfalls. This makes it an ideal river for canoeing and drifting.

How long do you need? This depends on the water-level, but mostly it depends on you. You can be energetic and paddle a lot, or you can relax and drift with the current. You might also choose to make longer stays for fishing and walking

You can normally travel 15-20 kilometres per day with a raft and 20-30 kilometres with a canoe, but you can easily double this if you want.
